Here’s an update on the latest we can tell you about how the current Covid-19 virus pandemic is affecting our operations.
On the 17th March we issued an e-mail to all our valued stakeholders concerning 2 major topics – ‘Training visits’ and the ‘Federal Government’s Stimulus Package’. Effectively we expressed our desire to conform with our Host companies’ own policies in relation to the virus. We also were regrettable in informing our clients that we were not eligible for the Government’s wage rebate for trainees.
On the 18th March, we issued a follow up e-mail to confirm to all that in the interests of every stakeholders’ continued health, face-to-face training was to be suspended indefinitely. This came into effect immediately.
We are confident that the learning experience of our trainees will not be noticeably diminished. We have a robust, informative, intuitive and comprehensive on-line learning platform that all students are already familiar with and use on a daily basis anyway. This will be backed up by phone calls in place of the regular face-to-face training sessions, where both trainee and trainer have access to simultaneously view the same screen currently being discussed. It’s business (almost) as usual for our training.
Trainers and key staff have been provided the necessary facilities to work from home. This does not mean they are un-contactable. They can be reached by the normal e-mail or mobile phone contacts that you already have. If you don’t have these details, contact the normal office number.
Our office is still manned for the majority of the working week, albeit by skeleton staff, so for the most part you can contact us as normal. Where it is not manned, the phone shall be diverted to one of our key staff so your calls will not go unanswered.
Shortly, for the benefit of trainees that are being required to work from home, we shall post in this news section (and will send directly to each trainee) some helpful support hints about how to best utilise the time you are required to work from home.
We wish you all the very best in this trying time, and remember, particularly our valued trainees, we are here to help. Do not hesitate to contact us if you need any assistance in any sphere of your work.
From the team: Tim, Linda, Michael, Deeon, Chriss and Richard,
Future Force was the best fit for me, as I wanted to get into the working field straight after finishing high school.
The best thing about it all is that Future Force offer you excellent schooling about Transport and Logistics as well as providing hands on experience.
My trainer Michael has a lot to do with where I am today, his expertise and persistence in his training has been very helpful within my work.
Since graduating in 2013, I have grown so much within the industry. I have been fortunate to trial different departments to find which best suits me.
The perfect entry point into the world of freight and logistics, extremely skilled and motivated team that really CARE about your career and ambitions, even to the point of keeping touch 5+ years after graduation.
Stefan Sutherland, Business Development ExecutiveBoundless career opportunities in the freight & logistics industry and highly motivated team that help kickstart your professional career. Family like atmosphere, cannot recommend highly enough.
Emir Osmanagic, LCL Product Lead, Australia and New ZealandWhen I started my traineeship, I quickly realised that I had a limited understanding of the industry and experience in an office environment. After meeting weekly with my Future Force trainer for the two year period of my traineeship, I was able to learn about the logistics industry efficiently, while maintaining a comfortable pace for me to grasp concepts strongly. Not only have I built skills within my workplace, but also organisational and life skills.
Declan Broderick, Operations all rounderAs a fresh faced teenager in 2003, I was fortunate enough to commence my traineeship under the guidance of the Future Force team. They provided me the necessary tools to be successfully employed at market leading international freight forwarder, along with comprehensive training, knowledge & skills required to succeed in my position as the national leading cargo insurance sales rep today!
